They answer our questions and dare to be critical. That keeps us on our toes and makes us think further.

The IT department in Turnhout serves as a benchmark for all European branches. Currently, they are primarily focused on migrating various tools and systems to the cloud. At Van Genechten Packaging, they develop their own ERP package internally. In addition, the IT department manages the accounting system and BI reports.
The development team has expertise in various domains such as Java, Python, React, Openshift and Quarkus.
Luc Pluys (IT and innovation) explains that the young, driven IT team at Van Genechten sometimes needs external advice. "It's inspiring to bring in an expert on certain topics to implement changes. I contacted Wild Goose because they stand for clear and concrete solutions. They answer our questions and dare to be critical. That keeps us on our toes and allows us to think further."
Wild Goose supports and advises the IT team on modernising their technology stack and optimising their release cycle. In addition, they are implementing a new working method for the use of feature branches, which improves communication between developers, analysts and testers.
We fly further!
In the future, we will continue to work together on optimising the DevOps flow and implementing Liquibase.
Luc concludes: "These topics are still on the agenda for further development with Wild Goose. But when new challenges arise, my first thought is to approach Wild Goose. The lines of communication are short and you quickly get an honest answer about the possibilities. In short, it's an excellent collaboration."
