POM is a Belgian company that develops payment solutions that support the entire invoice-to-cash process. POM stands for Peace of Mind, and that is exactly what POM does: provide carefree payments for both payers and organisations.

With their platform, POM makes it easy to send, receive and pay invoices. Payment requests can be processed quickly and securely, without the risk of duplicate payments. Organisations, in turn, gain greater transparency and control: they can easily see which invoices have been paid, saving them a lot of time on follow-ups or reminders.

Ready for the future with Wild Goose

There is a breath of fresh air at POM. The organisation is investing in the modernisation of its platform, with the support of Wild Goose. A gap had developed between the original application model and the current products. Some technological choices proved to be unprepared for the future, which made maintenance complex and slowed down opportunities for further development. That is why POM has opted for renewal with a scalable, future-proof platform that is ready to grow further at European level.

Technologically, POM has opted for Kotlin with Spring Boot, languages that combine innovation with compatibility and simplicity. On the front end, React remains the basis for a flexible and consistent user experience.

“The Wild Goose developers bring not only technical expertise, but also a distinctly hands-on mentality. They start building from a clear vision, substantiate why something is needed and dare to defend strong choices. They help to get the new architecture off the ground and demonstrate in practice why a solution works. When it comes down to it, they are the first to get their hands dirty, even when that means extra work," says Pieter.

No endless discussions, just building, testing and improving until it's right. Their work is visible in the foundations of the new platform: an integrated structure in which front-end and back-end come together in a mono repository, equipped with a solid test setup and reusable custom components.

How we work together

The collaboration between POM and Wild Goose came about through word of mouth. From the very first contact, it felt right. "This is the first time I've really enjoyed working with a consultancy firm," says Pieter.

Whereas they normally received CVs without actively seeking them, Wild Goose took a different approach. Lennert initiated the conversation and quickly proposed two profiles. The choice was difficult, which was a compliment in itself.

What immediately stood out was the approach: not pushy, but thoughtful and genuinely interested in what POM needed. Communication was transparent, respectful and fair.
